This important event marks a historic moment for our organization, confirming Kosovo’s growing role as a hub for cultural exchange and the promotion of traditional dance on a global level.
Significance and Impact: Organizing this conference for the first time in Kosovo is a significant step toward integrating and strengthening FIDAF Kosovo on the international scene. The conference served as a platform for discussions on the development of dance festivals, the preservation of cultural heritage, and international collaboration. This initiative not only raised the professionalism and image of Kosovo in the world of dance but also created new opportunities for partnerships and the future development of our festivals.
Impact of the Newborn Kosova Festival: Growth and Development from the First Edition to the Fourth Edition
The Fourth Conference of FIDAF Kosovo was attended in person by representatives from 22 European countries that are part of FIDAF. This face-to-face participation emphasized the significance of the event and facilitated direct interactions and discussions. However, the conference was also partially held online via the Zoom platform, allowing countries that could not attend in person to still be included in the discussions and activities. This hybrid approach ensured broader participation, enabling a global exchange of ideas and experiences, overcoming the barriers of distance and location.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for strengthening international cooperation and fostering closer ties between the participating countries. Additionally, it was honored by a visit from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Ms. Liza Gashi, who congratulated us on the successful organization and emphasized the Kosovo Government’s commitment to exploring future collaboration opportunities with FIDAF Kosovo. This visit was a significant recognition of the work done and the international visibility the festival has achieved.
The discussions at the conference also focused on crucial topics, including how to improve communication and collaboration within the European dance sector. The importance of creating a stronger network for sharing best practices and fostering cooperation was highlighted, ensuring that festivals and cultural activities could develop in a more coordinated manner with greater international impact.
